Jiblet - The (Very Short) Movie
Here is my final submission for the semester's 3D class at college. As is always the case, looking at it now, and given another six months, there are things that I would change, but overall I am very happy with the outcome. Our new lecturer, Lindsay Fleay, who worked on Happy Feet and The Matrix, has taught us a huge amount.

Jiblet Game Animations Part 2
Here are the second three of six game animation loops that I have done for a college project. The final one was done using motion capture. I love the finished product, but was surprised how much 'editing' the mocap required to get there.

Nissan - A bit more done
I have done a bit more work on the Nissan. Fixed up some of around the door and started on the tail light. I have also been playing with 3Ds Max's materials. They have quite a big range and they look amazing.

Jiblet The Goblin
I have finished the goblin model! It took about 90 hours all up. This version is about 50 000 polys including the armor, the I applied Turbosmooth. I'm pretty happy with him. Jiblet, as I have named him, is the first model that I have made from design, right the way through. Later on I will be animating him.

His armor can be removed

More on the Nissan
I have done a bit more to the Nissan between everything else. I finally found the Max Materials in Max 2012...
More on the Goblin
The Goblin model now has two versions. There is the low poly one for the game, and a higher poly version for a modelling assignment. The low poly one has the armor extruded from the body of the goblin. On the higher poly version the armor is modelled separately.
I have finished modelling the higher poly version. It just has Max materials on it at the moment, but I have started unwrapping it. Here are some images...

2D Animation
I've been spending a lot of time on 2D Flash animation. At college we are working on a short animation in our project and animation classes. I am also spending any spare time that I have doing tutorials.
These are for the animation, based on artwork we were given.

Princess Daphne
Sir Loin
Sir Tifficate
This guy is one that I made in a tutorial from Lynda.com. I will work my way through the tutorial and post as I go. There will end up being an animation.

Goblin
This is a low poly goblin for an assignment. We were told to keep it under 3500 polys and that it should look like an 80's style character. We drew the reference and then modelled in 3Ds Max. I haven't unwrapped him yet, just used the Max materials.
The armor is all separate objects so it can go on and off...
The clothes are extruded from the body
Here it is through the stages of the box modelling...

Wheel
This is the finished wheel. I may put tread on the tyre later. Used splines to make the brake disk, which makes a hell of a lot of polys. The whole model is just over 84000 polys with Turbosmooth on.
later that day I put the tread on the tyre...

2D Flash Characters
I made the characters in Flash. They are for a class animation project.
They are Sir Tifficate, Princess Daphne and Sir Loin.

Wheel Rim
This wheel rim is for the Nissan 350Z that I am modelling. It's from a tutorial at 3d.dtuts.com. The next step is to model the tyre.

Nissan 350Z High Poly
I am modeling a Nissan 350Z in my spare time, just for the exercise. I am not sure how far I'll go with the detail yet. I am building it with everything openning and closing so I can add the interior, engine etc. It's going to take a while. I'll add renders as I go...

Theate Stage
This is a low poly Theatre Stage setup that I am working on for Desperado. I's under 700polys with the lights at this stage. This is just a preliminary model. It will need some mods and scaling, the unwrapping and painting.
Poker Game
Here's a poker game setup for Desperado. All low poly. The highest poly count is the pack of cards at 520.

Roulette table for Desperado game
Here is a roulette setup that I have modeled for the Desperado game. It's low poly, under 900 polys in this scene including the chips. The modelling itself didn't take long, but the painting took hours. Very fiddly.

I am working on more models for the saloon. These are for the gaming area. They haven't been painted yet.
