2D Animation

I've been spending a lot of time on 2D Flash animation. At college we are working on a short animation in our project and animation classes. I am also spending any spare time that I have doing tutorials.

These are for the animation, based on artwork we were given.

This guy is one that I made in a tutorial from Lynda.com. I will work my way through the tutorial and post as I go. There will end up being an animation.

Goblin

This is a low poly goblin for an assignment. We were told to keep it under 3500 polys and that it should look like an 80's style character. We drew the reference and then modelled in 3Ds Max. I haven't unwrapped him yet, just used the Max materials.



  The armor is all separate objects so it can go on and off...

The clothes are extruded from the body

Arm guards 49 polys each

Knee guards 61 polys each

Shin guards 80 polys each

Boot plates 24 polys each

Nissan 350z Update

I have been spending time on the Nissan between homework sessions.

Wheel

This is the finished wheel. I may put tread on the tyre later. Used splines to make the brake disk, which makes a hell of a lot of polys. The whole model is just over 84000 polys with Turbosmooth on.

2D Flash Characters

I made the characters in Flash. They are for a class animation project.

They are Sir Tifficate, Princess Daphne and Sir Loin.

Wheel Rim

This wheel rim is for the Nissan 350Z that I am modelling. It's from a tutorial at 3d.dtuts.com. The next step is to model the tyre.

Water Balloon Animation

This is a Flash animation of a water balloon being dropped. It is done frame by frame, without tweening, for a class exercise.

Nissan 350Z High Poly

I am modeling a Nissan 350Z in my spare time, just for the exercise. I am not sure how far I'll go with the detail yet. I am building it with everything openning and closing so I can add the interior, engine etc. It's going to take a while. I'll add renders as I go...
